Assume the judges as executives of a manufacturing firm

Presentation is a static event, in which teams assume the judges as executives of a manufacturing firm and convince them that the team's design best meets the demands of the amateur racing market and that it can be profitably manufactured and marketed. The content presentation must include the teams marketing strategies, as well as the technical explanation about the car. Not only the contents, but also the attitude of the presenter, the teams response to the questions the judges give them are also judged. Each team have ten minute to give their presentation, and if they do not finish in time, they will lose some points.
We made the presentation for this year's Japanese competition based on the presentation that we have made for the Formula SAE West Competition, and made changes to the marketing strategies. We have emphasized the strategy that was rated high in the Western Competition, which is to secure children of the consumers as future consumers.
The presenter got nervous
Team Leader Izumi and Ikezawa from the Management team went to the actual event. When the event had started, there was a trouble with the projector; the display of the projector was too big to fit in the screen. We therefore lost some time, and the presenter started to become anxious about not finishing the presentation in time. The presenter got nervous, and could not give the presentation in her best condition. However, we did manage to finish the presentation in time.
Did not have enough time to practice the presentation
The result of the event was third, and we were able to get on the podium, but in this presentation event, we had few troubles. The biggest reason that the trouble with the projector had occurred is because we did not use the projector in the practices, and the biggest reason that the presenter got so nervous was because not enough practice was done.
Moreover, these things happened because we kept on trying to improve the contents of the presentation until the very last minute, and did not have enough time to practice the presentation as a result. To prevent this from happening again, we need precise scheduling and decide when we need to start practicing the result. With these things in mind, we will to aim for presentations that can finish in higher positions.
