Based on the actual car and the design report that was handed in beforehand

The Design event is an event in which the adequacy, innovativeness, workability, reparability, framing, and the design intent etc. of the design of the car and its parts are judged, based on the actual car and the design report that was handed in beforehand. We gave explanations about the car to three judges who are actual engineers.

In the explanations, we have emphasized these two points; what kinds of decisions were made before settling with this design of the car, and the reasons for making those decisions. We have also laid stress on our new technologies such as the performance damper and resonance tube. It was hard work to show effects of those technologies in figures, but by conducting many experiments and by making all kinds of efforts, we were able to vindicate those effects.

We have conducted evidence-based designing from the beginning

Dynamic vehicle simulation analyze by AdamsIn this years design event, we were able to gain 148/150 points (2nd out of 50). We believe that we were able to gain high marks we have conducted evidence-based designing from the beginning.

Moreover, because we have worked on vehicle motion simulation and fluid analysis by using MSC.ADAMS and FLUENT, we were able to receive CAE special award. This result had lead to the team member's large confidence in vehicle design.
